Smelly Towel Review & Giveaway

detail_image

Do your towels ever have that faint smell of mildew, or mustiness even after washing them?? Mine sometimes do, from the kids leaving them balled up in a corner, or if they get left somewhere after swimming, and such. However it gets frustrating when you take out a nice clean towel and it still has that faint smell.
What do you use to clean your towels? I have tried everything from, bleach, oxi, and scented laundry soap..nothing completely helps. I was excited to try Smelly Towels. I immediately went and got my towels and threw them in the washer! (sad I know) The smell was not completely gone, so I threw them back in and washed them one more time. (as directed on the back of the container) The second time I was so excited to say I could no longer smell anything! You can use it in any washer, just follow the directions on the bottle. You just put in a tiny cap full… and start the washer, no other detergent needed. A bottle should really go a long way…
You can buy it here… along with their Smelly Washer both going for $16.99 a bottle.

1. Do you believe, somewhere deep inside, that blondes do indeed have more fun? That they are "dumber" than brunettes or redheads? Be honest!

I’m not really sure.. I know some blondes.. and each of them are different. Sometimes I think they seem “dumber” cause that is what society has always told us.

2. Which animal would you most like to observe in its wild habitat?

I think it would be cool to observe a Giraffe or Tiger in the wild. Ok, maybe I’m more partial to that seeing any animal in the wild would be really awesome!

3. This week the

U.N. announced that Dr. Mazlan Othman has been appointed the official "Alien Ambassador," should any extraterrestrials contact us. Have you, or has anyone you know, ever seen a UFO?

I have never seen a UFO, nor anyone that I know. I think, it would be really odd if we did. Sometimes the thought crosses my mind that there is something on another planet. What do you think?

4. Name your favorite Hitchcock film.

I really have to say, I don’t think I have a favorite Hitchcock film.

5. Would you rather spend time at the library, the mall, a craft store or home?

I am strange.. I love all the above. I think the library is great, mall’s can be fun, craft stores, always cost me way to much money… and home is good some days too.

6. Which Disney princess is your favorite? (Or Disney character, if you are a guy)

My favorite Disney Princess is Mulan. For some reason I love that movie.. it is my all time favorite.

7. What kind of art is your favorite?

I love pottery…

8. How do you feel about viral videos, that is, videos made by amateurs that end up on Youtube receiving thousands of hits?

I have to admit their are many times I ask myself really they are so bored, and have nothing better to do?? REALLY??

9. Where do you buy your jeans?

Old Navy.. I LOVE old navy jeans!

10. Tell me about your first automobile accident.

I was a teenager… and was driving in Downtown Boston. A person merging lanes hit me.

11. Have you ever been honest when you knew you would benefit more if you would be dishonest?

No, I really tried to be Honest at all times.

12. If you were appointed "Ambassador to Aliens," what would you show and tell first about life on Earth? What would be the most difficult thing to explain?

I really have no idea…

Barbie A Fashion Fairytale Movie Review:

Barbie Movie

On September 14th, Barbie A Fashion Fairytale Movie was released on DVD. Does your child love Barbie?? I know my girls do. We now almost have the complete collection of all the Barbie Movies ever made.

I was not a huge fan of them getting the movies at first… but then I sat down and watch one with them. I was impressed to see that each Barbie movie has some kind of lesson in them for the girls to learn. Even as little as they are, learning through Barbie about life lessons is always fun.

Barbie A Fashion Fairytale is no different… In this movie…Barbie™ and her dog Sequin™ jet off to visit her Aunt's amazing fashion house in Paris, and much to Barbie's surprise it's about to be shut down forever! After she discovers three enchanting Fairies™ with sparkle-magic powers, Barbie comes up with a brilliant idea to save the business.  She even inspires Alice, a shy fashion designer, and together they create a dazzling together, they create a runway fashion show.

The DVD also includes a Music Video and Trailer Gallery. As well as funny out takes.

My girls were just excited and happy with this movie, as they were with all the others.. My oldest going on 7 still loves these movies. This one came out just in time for her birthday! If you have a Barbie lover, you should definitely put this movie on your Christmas list for that special girl.

Be sure to also be looking for these beautiful Barbie A Fashion Fairytale Transforming Fashion Doll…

Unstuff your Life Book Review:

Unstuff your life

I don’t know about you, but I’m always looking for ways to organize myself, and make my life run a bit smoother. This book actually couldn’t have come at a better time, since I am purging and trying to get things packed.

Author of Unstuff your life

Andrew Mellen the Author of Unstuff Your Life is one of the country’s most sought-after professional organizers (he’s been featured in Oprah Magazine!) and his book is a complete life-saver when it comes to un-cluttering your life.

I started this book, as I was sitting in the car line, waiting for my kids to get out of school… I made it to the second chapter when it was time to put it down, and I didn’t want to!!!

If you follow this book to the T, I’m sure it would really simplify your life. Can I say that I am that committed no… However, I will take a lot of what he has to say and adapt to my own life. I was really happy with the mail section. I am the worse when if comes to sorting and filing my mail in a timely manner.

UNSTUFF YOUR LIFE! starts with truly achievable goals and works toward the nightmare projects everyone tries hard to avoid.  You can learn:

  • Where to find a permanent home of your keys and wallet
  • How to sort the mail in a manageable and time-effective way
  • What it means to group “like with like”
  • How to tackle bills and budgets
  • A new approach to organizing your e-mail
  • The importance of separating yourself from your stuff
  • How to problem-solve with your new skills
  • And much more

He even touches on Debit, and how to get out of Debit, or stay away from it.

So if you are stuck in that rut, and need help to get the junk out of your life. Or to even know what you should keep or not keep… This is a great way to start!

You can buy it at:
Amazon or

Barnes and Noble

*I was given a copy of this book from Twittermoms in exchange for my review. All opinions are strictly my own.

Deadly Disclosures Book Review:

Deadly Disclosures

About the Book:

A Suspense-filled fiction mystery which answers an ominous question: How far will some go to silence an influential Christian voice?

Thomas Whitfield, proud Secretary of the Smithsonian and its extensive scientific influence, has disappeared from his office with foul play suspected. Dinah Harris, an FBI agent struggling with alcohol and depression, is seeking answers amidst the fallout of her own personal issues. Whitfield's body is eventually found, and other people connected to him begin dying as well, ultimately exposing a broader conspiracy connected to him begin dying as well, ultimately exposing a broader conspiracy connected to Whitfield's recent conversion to Christ and promotion of a biblical worldview in an academic world of financial gain hostile to this concept. Will Dinah be able to experience the redemptive power of Christ before it's too late? Or will the ominous danger stalking her investigation claim another victim?

About the Author:

Julie has loved books all her life and began writing at the age of 12. At the age of 15, she heard a creation science speaker at her church which ignited her interest in creation science and sparked an enthusiasm for defending the Bible’s account of creation. It wasn’t until she was in her mid-twenties, after re-dedicating her life to Jesus, that she began thinking about combining the two as a Christian ministry.

Julie is married with one daughter and lives on the east coast of Austrilia. Her interests include reading, writing, and spending time at the beach.

You can learn more about her at Juliecave.com

or on Twitter.

My thoughts:
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were engaging and real. I thought it was easy to get into, and it kept me interested. I’m anxious to read the next book in this new trilogy. This really puts creation in a whole new light.. and makes you start to think. I love books that spark my curiosity and make me think about the whole big picture. Great book to read if you are looking for some books to get you through the winter!

1. Describe the best sandwich in the world, according to you.

Oh, I am a huge sandwich gal… I love all kinds of sandwiches, but I would have to say your simple Ham Italian is really the best ever!

2. Which inspires you more: a good conversation, a song, a book or movie?

Wow, that is tough.. I would have to say all three. A good conversation can inspire me to to look at the bigger picture.. A song can touch my heart, and make me think… and a book or a movie, just reminds me to strive for more. So in their own way… they really all can inspire equally!

3. What is your favorite board game?

As a family of board game lovers… I would have to say our favorite is still Monopoly…. however we enjoy many other board games as well! :-)

4. As you grow older, are you more or less patient with small children?

Less… I look back at when my son was only a yr or two old, and I was so patient with the things he did.. then I look at me now, and the same things drive me nuts! Or maybe its the extra two children!!! Hahaha!

5. Name one item you never let yourself run out of.

Toilet paper… Never a good thing to run out of it!

6. Do you agree with Tennyson's assertion, "'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all?"

Yes because if you don’t allow yourself to love, then you have never truly lived. Loss, and hurt are a fact of life, you can not avoid them.

7. Name one national treasure or monument that you have visited.

Sadly I don’t think I have visited any yet… However, we have a couple on our list for a trip next summer. We are very excited.

8. Which is more painful, to be disappointed in someone else or to be disappointed in yourself?

I would have to say to be disappointed in yourself… Cause then you only have yourself to blame.

9. What makes your kitchen uniquely yours?

At the moment, nothing cause the kitchen isn’t mine. But when we have our own house again… It will have my gingerbread, and apples back in it! Oh, how I miss them!

10. Are you a crafty person?

I don’t really consider myself to be overly crafty, however, I have been told I am. I love to do crafts with my kids, and we are always anxious to try or make something new!

11. What is your favorite traditional picnic or bbq (cookout) food?

Watermelon and my hubby’s Burgers! Yum!!!

12. Name one leisurely activity you enjoyed over Labor Day Weekend.

I spent a day watching the NCIS marathon and cuddling with my kiddo’s.

Happy Labor Day

Just wanted to say I hope you are all being safe and having a wonderful time on this Labor Day weekend!

We are just chilling and relaxing… with a bit of fun thrown in.

Yesterday we went to the Zhu-niverse Tour and GeckoFest  with some friends… Which you can see here..

With a stop at the beach of course…

Hunter & Matt

Rach, Sage & Julie

Then we headed to pizza hut for dinner. And the day was not complete without a stop off at the Movies! So we went to see Despicable Me! It was a very cute and funny movie!

Julie, Matt, Hunter, Rach, Sage, & Cara 3

Today we are relaxing from our very hot and fun day yesterday.. (few of us might look like Lobsters, I’m not saying who!?!)

Tomorrow we will be about the same as today, since hubby has to work. The kids and I will probably spend the day starting to pack their room. Moving day is getting closer.

So we wish you a Happy & Safe Day!

Zhu-niverse Tour

This past Saturday we had the opportunity to check out one of the Zhu-niverse Tour spots. They are going to many different places around the US. I totally suggest checking one out, if they come in your area.

Thanks to MomSelect and Zhu-Zhu my kids were able to have an amazing experience. We got the Zhu-Zhu Flo dance dvd in the mail, and they practiced for two weeks, before the event. Then on the big day, they were able to get up on stage and do the dance in front of everyone!

They Zhu-niverse Tour has lots for your little Zhu-Zhu lover to check out. There is the life sized habit, a hamster wheel (biggest hit with my kids), demo section to check out all the stuff you can get for your hamster, a Kung Zhu battle training grounds, a place to try out the newest DS game & Wii game, and last but not least… the which hamster are you like station!

All of it was pretty amazing and my kids loved every minute. Matter of fact, it was so HOT out and they didn’t even seem to care, while they were acting like hamsters!

Here are some photo’s from our day and a video of them dancing!

Hunter @ the Kung Zhu training course.. he loved this
