Gutzy Gear Party & Review:

Gutzy Gear is the a new product to hit the shelves this back to school season! I know what your thinking, “What in the world is Gutzy Gear?” Well, they are a new way to express yourself.

They are a strap covers for your Backpack, Messenger bags, Laptop bags, or even on your bike or scooter. Then you can get “Gutzies” (cool patches) to put on them to express yourself. There are so many to choose from! Here are just a few we have seen, pizza, fries, burger, smiley faces, dragons, flowers, hearts, and so much more!!!

We recently had a party to help show off these cool new accessories! Here is a look at what we received in our box.

Everyone at our party got to choose their favorite “Gutzies” and then they attached them to the strap.  At the end of our party, we let the kids trade, and have fun showing off there creations. What a blast we had! The kids couldn’t wait to go to school and show off their new straps!

The great thing about them is that the strap adds cushion making carrying the backpack more comfortable. Another plus is the straps are removable. Great news for the mom’s, the Gutzies are Velcro so there is no attaching or sewing necessary! They stay on nice and secure, but easy enough to switch out or trade with friends!

My kids also wanted to show off their creations!

You can find Gutzy Gear at your local Kmarts, Wal-mart, and Target stores. As well as being able to buy them online at www.gutzygear.com and you can find them on Facebook here. Be sure to check them out!!!

*We were given product by MomSelect and Gutzy Gear to throw a party in exchange for our honest review. All opinions are 100% mine or my monkey’s!

Creativity for Kids Review:

As a homeschool mom, we are always looking for things to encourage creativity! Our to even help with some of our down time. Creativity for Kids has some really amazing products. They have everything from Coloring & ARTivity, Jewelry making, Paper & Memory Crafts, Shrinky Dinks, Travel, and so much more! What I really love is that you can find something for everyone. Having two girls and a boy its sometimes hard to find something for everyone. With Creativity for Kids we can find things that interest everyone. You can even sign up your child with their Creativity Club. Where you will receive free activities to download, Craft of the Month, and more! We recently got the chance to review some of their products. The Monkey’s and I were super excited about this!

Upon opening the box, we saw that we had received three different products. The first thing my girls jumped to look at was the Fashion Bracelets.

This includes all the stuff that you need to make 15 bracelets! The girls were eager to try all kinds of stuff, and the best part is, the chances of anyone making the same bracelet is very slim. The kit includes wide ribbon, stain cord, floss, skinny ribbon, gem covered ribbon, scissors and glue! The possibilities are endless. Here are a couple that my kids made…

My girls had so much fun with them! Each girl has made a couple, and Monkey Man even made one, to give to his sister for Christmas. I even got in on the action! I love this product for a few reasons.. One it comes with everything you need to make them, so you don’t have to invest in many extras. Secondly, I really like it for the way it gets their brains working! One thing that I did do differently was we used glue dots instead of the glue provided, just due to the mess factor. I wanted something with a bit less mess. Plus we like to take these on the go with us sometimes! You can buy this kit for $19.99 at your local craft store.

The next one that was quickly claimed was the Mossy Meadow Gnome Garden. Monkey Man was quick to claim that one for his. He said it was for a boy! Upon opening this up, we were very surprised with what cool things were inside. In this kit you will find a garden dish, potting mix, wheat grass seeds, a bark house, leafs, mossy rocks, toadstools, ladybugs, paint, and more!

We really loved this, cause we are into making Fairy houses. This kit really reminded us of this. His imagination soared! He loved it! He immediately went to work on the bark house, making the roof. As you can see in the pictures above. He is still deciding on the colors he wants to add to his toadstools, and house.. so he has not yet finished this project. You can find a completed picture on our facebook page soon! He loved this project, and has had lots of fun thinking about what he could do with this house. Again I thought this kit was great because it has everything included in it. You can buy this kit for $29.99 at your local craft store. I will say, that I thought this one was a bit pricey, so I’m not sure I would buy one like this often.

The last one we got to try out was the Deluxe Glitter Art. This of course looked super fun! We haven’t gotten a chance to use it yet. So you can look for a picture on our facebook page soon with that. Here is a bit about this kit though. In the Glitter Kit you can find a array of glitter glue, shaker-top glitter, glitter stickers, glitter paper, gift tags, envelopes, greeting cards, craft glue, and more! We are probably going to make some gifts with this kit. You can purchase this kit for $29.99 at your local craft store as well.
We have had lots of fun with all these kits! I love watching my kids imaginations come to life! I think that we will absolutely be looking into some more of these kits for birthday’s, and Christmas presents. Have fun crafting!

One of my lucky readers gets a chance to win 2 of kits to try.. The Deluxe Glitter Art Fun, and Beach Buddies Shell Crafts.  Over a $45 value!!!!

The Tag also has maps that you can use with it. We got the World Interactive Map. Which was an awesome asset to our schoolroom. It has lots of facts, to share. Plus, it has some great games to go along with it. Our favorite one is the timed, find the country game. We like to race each other and see who can get the highest score. So far Monkey Man, is beating us all! Now we can’t wait to get the Us Map. To see how fast we can learn facts, and placement of the states!

*We were given these products for free, in exchange for throwing a party, and sharing our experiences by Leap Frog & MomSelect. All opinions are 100% my own, or my monkey’s.

Quest for Zhu Review & Giveaway

This house is huge Zhu-Zhu pet fans… we have played with them since they came out. Needless to say, we were super excited to hear that their was a movie coming out about the Zhu-Zhu pets. Quest for Zhu, is coming out September 27th on Dvd.
We were chosen to throw a premiere party for the Quest for Zhu. I let the kids each pick 2 friends to come over and view it with us. Given us 9 kids at our party! We made up some snacks, popped some popcorn, put out some juice, and made some punch. As well in our party pack they included some Hershey’s Candy.
Since we wanted to have sometime to do some games, and mingle a bit, we decided to do our party at 1pm. The kids were super excited for their friends to show up. We had a table with snacks, drinks, and some little figures that were also sent to us on it, for decoration.
The kids were all excited to check out this new movie. It was a big hit with them all. I thought it was great, and had some very good lessons in it. The main character was Pipsqueak, and there was also Num Num, Mr.Squiggles, Stinker, and Chunk. Which was cool, cause most of the kids had heard of a few of them.
Unfortunately, my daughter was playing with my camera and deleted my pictures from the party. I was wicked bummed, as we got some nice ones. (but what can ya do?) So all I have is a couple:

Monkey Man watching the movie again a few days later…

Little Monkey showing off the Movie case…..

It was a super fun party, and fun was had by all!

Want to win a copy of Quest for Zhu yourself?? Well I have one copy to give away to one lucky 3 Crazy Monkey’s reader. What a great Christmas present that would make!!!

*We received free product as part of a promotional program with ZhuZhu Pets and MomSelect.

Zhu-Zhu Fashion Review & Giveaway

The Zhu-niverse never ceases to amaze me, with the things they come up with. Their newest product is the ZhuZhu Fashion accessories.

My girls absolutely love playing dress up, and putting on fashion shows. So when they saw the opportunity to do the same thing with their ZhuZhu pets they got super excited!! We received the Fashion Closet, a new friend, and a new outfit to try on our favorite little friends.

The fashion play sets

The Fashion Closet is super cute. I love that it even turns with clothes on it, so the kids feel like a princess. After taking the stuff out of the boxes, they played for hours, with imaginations running wild! I love the imagination and creativity that comes out of them when they are playing with the ZhuZhu pet toys.

Here are some pictures of my monkey’s playing with it.

Monkey Quest Review & Giveaway

My family was recently given the chance to try out a new game in the online world over at Nickelodeon called Monkey Quest. Seeing that I call my kids, monkeys.. I thought, how fitting to have them try this out!

In our house as a rule, me or my husband tries out a game before we allow the kids to play.. Just to see what it is like. We feel more confident and secure that way, knowing what they are playing. Of course this is not an issue, since my husband Monkey Dad loves to play online or video games.

Here is a little bit about Monkey Quest...

• Geared towards kids 8-12

• Takes place in the land of Ook

• Can play for free

• It’s a cooperative game

• Fun!!!

Monkey Man has loved playing it, and thinks that it is very cool!

Since Monkey Dad was the one who played it the most, I had him assist me in this review... Here is what he had to say:
Monkey Quest is a very easy game to set up, no download at all and also very easy to set up a membership, although you do not need one to play at all.  I actually played for 5 hours before activating the membership just to see if it was something I would play or recommend to others for their children. It had a lot of fun playtime even without the membership. The game is definitely suited for children although some adults may find it a pleasant game to play if they like a more childlike game environment. Without a membership there are some areas that are not available to go to, but you can purchase access to those areas without getting a membership.
Once you purchase a membership, you are rewarded with a few instant perks, some extra bananas (the currency of the game) a bonus item, and most importantly access to areas for free while you are a member. Weather you are a member or not the environment is very child appropriate. You are not bothered by any kind of bad language or inappropriate behavior, like some games, and the game is designed to be cooperative, in such that some of the quests are made to be done by two or more people.
As far as game play goes, Monkey Dad (he plays a lot of different types of games) says that it is very well done, with decent graphics and smooth scrolling. It has a wide range of ways to change how you Monkey looks with both equipment and items that are just cosmetic ( he says you can get sideburns or a beard if you want). The game has a very easy leveling system that is used to determine which quests you can take and what items you can use or equip. It also has a very easy to use crafting system, in which you can get recipes to make both items to wear and items to use.
We are positive this is a game our Monkeys and Monkey Dad will be playing quite a bit.

Giveaway:
One of my lucky 3 Crazy Monkey readers, will have the chance to win a $25 Nickelodeon Game Card (which can be used for a 3 Month Membership)

* I was given game card, and reusable bag in exchange for my honest review from MomSelect & Nickelodeon. All opinions are 100% mine and my monkeys.

Party Anyone??

Thanks to Momselect we had the opportunity to have a DaGeDar Party. My son was so thrilled to have this party… We got right into setting it up, and getting a track set up!

Before we get to much into what we did, let me back up just a tad bit, and tell you about DaGeDar. This new toy on the market is from the maker of ZhuZhu Pets. This is a game about speed, challenge, and racing! Each ball is a weighted ball baron with a character face. The goal is to race on a track, and make it through the whole thing, loops included, without falling out. Players can enhance the game with their own tricks, and stunts. Great game for creativity and imagination to come out and play!

Some of the products from DaGeDar include, numerous ball sets, ball carrier, start gate, launcher, and lots of track pieces.

Now back to our party… We got lots of good snacks ready, before our guests had arrived. We set up all the track pieces we had, and the Monkey Man decided to test out the track before everyone arrived.

The party was a huge success and they had so much fun playing and racing each other. As well, as trying to move the track pieces around to form another one.

All of our guests left with a set of DaGeDar Balls. They were so happy! We had a great time, and hope to have them back over again soon, to have a rematch!

*Discloser: I was provided with the toys for this party by MomSelect & DaGeDar… All opinions are mine or my 3 monkeys!

Blue Bunny Review & Giveaway

It has been some of the hottest days of the summer over the last few days. Crazy humidity and heat!

So what better way to cool off than with some Ice Cream right? I scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

We love Ice Cream in this house. So when we were offered a chance to try the Blue Bunny new Champ Ice Creams, we were all for it!  Who can say no to Ice Cream right??

Blue Bunny has been around for many years, and is sold in all 50 states! They have nearly 500 tasty treats to give a try. 500 can you imagine? I would love to try each and everyone of them!

The newest ones to the team are Champ Mini Swirl Birthday Party Ice Cream Cones. These were the hit of my house. The kids really loved them, and honestly I really loved them too. They taste just like birthday cake, and who doesn’t have a weakness for birthday cake??
Or you could have Champs Mini Swirl Vanilla Ice Cream Cones.. which have a nice hard chocolate shell around vanilla ice cream. These were really good too!
My husbands favorite was the Mini Variety Ice Cream Sandwiches… These come in a box of 16 and you can choose from either Vanilla or Chocolate!

The biggest thing I liked from all of the different ones we tried, was that they are all mini. Which makes them perfect size for my little monkeys! No more waste or huge messes, cause they can eat them in a timely manner. LOVE IT!

DageDar Review/Giveaway

Have you heard of the newest toy to hit the shelves? DageDar is made making its way to the hottest new toy of the season! It is from the makers of ZhuZhu pets. This is a game of Speed and Skill.

DageDar is a from the Dimension 33… and a DageDar ball weighs 33 grams. Each character shows a distinct personality traits. There are different challenges, with each different course you set up. The object is for the ball to make it through the course without it falling out. Leaving you the versatility to make your own stunts and tricks.

My son thinks these are the coolest thing ever.. He made different tracks using the pieces he had to construct his own. He loves to make them jump and fly through the air. Him and his sister love to see who’s can go faster. There are many tracks you can purchase to make it longer and more challenging.

They were definitely a hit in our house, even with my husband. We love toys that you can use your own imagination to make them even better… or to give them a new look. These would be great for friends to get together and battle it out.

Goalforit.com Review

As a parent do you ever struggle to find a Chore Chart or Behavior Chart that fits your needs? I know, I am. We have tried many different things, but for us a chart is really the only way to keep each child accountable.

Well look no further. Goalforit.com is a Free site for such charts. You can customize each individual child for whatever you need them to work on.  Not just chores either.. You can add healthy habits to their chart such as Eating your fruits, brushing your teeth, going to bed on time, or even waking up on time. That is the best part. You can make it work for you however, you need it to.

The options are endless… You can even choose between a child or a Tween.  You have many icons already there for you such as making your bed, doing the dishes, taking care of animals, or even folding the laundry.. but you can even add your own if needed. Making it easy to tweak this for any child you need it to work for.

Another great feature I found very helpful, is that you can add a To-do list on your homepage, as well as a goal chart for yourself.  I love having the ability to keep all of these in one location. Keeps my time down, and print them all from one easy location!

Best part is its all for free. You can add as many of your kids on as you would like, and set up a separate Chore or Behavioral Chart for each one! Can’t get any easier than that right??

You must be 13 yrs or older to join the site. However, its easy to join. A few quick questions and you are on your way. You can even chose to have emails sent to you with updates, daily, weekly or even monthly. Take the guess work out of keeping track of their progress and let Goalforit.com do all the work for you!

*This is 100% my own opinions.

Momselect Holiday Preview

I was recently chosen to host a Holiday party and display products that will be great ideas for the upcoming Holiday season.

I decided to host a Cookie Exchange & Decorating Party where I would show off these products.  My kids were super excited to show off the cool stuff for the holidays, and to eat cookies!!

Here is a list of companies and products that we were able to check out for the Holiday’s…

• NEW Small Frys from Build-a-Bear Workshop

• 3D Puzzles from Patch Products

• Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory

• Play-Doh Shape & Spin Elmo

• Playmobil Child’s First Day at School Kit

The kids really were excited to test out and try the Play-Doh Mega Fun Factory…. It is really cool with 6 different colors of Play-Doh to use, with lots of gadgets and attachments to try out. Wonderful product to get the kids for those cold, wet days they are stuck inside.

There other favorite was the Little Fries, from Build-a-bear workshop. These would be great for the Christmas stocking.. They come in a little box just like a fry container and it has nutritional facts on the back. Super Cute!

We decorated Gingerbread Cookies at the end… and the kids really loved that. Of course the best part of it for them was the frosting… and we got so busy, I didn’t even get pictures. Opps!

At the end of our party we had a drawing and gave away a few of the products to our guests. Which most of them decided they were going to give them to a Toy Drive. Which we thought was fantastic! We had so much fun, that we have decided we should do something like this again next year!

*Thanks to MomSelect and all the companies for this opportunity.  We were giving the product in exchange for this post. However, all opinions are 100% mine or my 3 Monkey’s.

Dig It Games: Roman Town Review

Do you have a child that loves to learn and play games?? I have a few of them myself…. So, you can imagine my excitement when I got chosen to have a Dig It Game party…

The game is about Archeology.. Which was perfect cause my son loves to learn about that kind of stuff, and has always wanted to be one. He tells me all the time, that this is what he wants to be when he gets bigger is an Archeologist!
The game is based on them being archaeologists and doing a dig in Roman Town of Fussura. During the dig, their skills are tested in areas such as memory, analytical thinking, as well as logic and problem solving. There are quiz puzzles in the lab, allowing them to see how much they L.E.A.R.N (Locate Engrossing And Remarkable kNowledge).

He was super excited to host this party and be the one to tell everyone about it. So, I allowed him to try out the game before our party, and see what it was all about so he could tell everyone about it.  I must say he did a wonderful job showing and explaining it to everyone. After he went through his talk, we allowed all the kids to get on and try some of the game. They all seem to like it, and the parents where happy with our Roman Town Coupons.
All our guests left with a Dig-It games Hat, Water bottle and coupon!
We had a fabulous time!

* Thanks to MommyParties and Roman Town for this opportunity. They supplied me with the product, in exchange for this post. All opinions are 100% mine or my 3 monkey’s.

Zhu-niverse Tour

This past Saturday we had the opportunity to check out one of the Zhu-niverse Tour spots. They are going to many different places around the US. I totally suggest checking one out, if they come in your area.

Thanks to MomSelect and Zhu-Zhu my kids were able to have an amazing experience. We got the Zhu-Zhu Flo dance dvd in the mail, and they practiced for two weeks, before the event. Then on the big day, they were able to get up on stage and do the dance in front of everyone!

They Zhu-niverse Tour has lots for your little Zhu-Zhu lover to check out. There is the life sized habit, a hamster wheel (biggest hit with my kids), demo section to check out all the stuff you can get for your hamster, a Kung Zhu battle training grounds, a place to try out the newest DS game & Wii game, and last but not least… the which hamster are you like station!

All of it was pretty amazing and my kids loved every minute. Matter of fact, it was so HOT out and they didn’t even seem to care, while they were acting like hamsters!

Here are some photo’s from our day and a video of them dancing!

We had a wonderful time!

*Thanks again to MomSelect and Zhu-niverse!!!
