About R.E.A.L Homeschool Spanish:

This program was developed by Dr. Karyn Williamson-Coria. She is a homeschool mother of three boys. She taught French and Spanish for 23 years at University and High School levels.

This curriculum is made for the home educator and geared towards the whole family. It tries to teach your child in a fun and interesting way.

Each Unit is based on vocabulary words. Altogether there is 33 Vocabulary groups, and 15 idea sections with 4 or more suggested activities. You can download an example of the curriculum here. Another bonus to this curriculum is its Free Culture Links.

What does the R.E.A.L stand for you ask?? I wandered that myself.  R- Relax, E- Enjoy- A- Aspire, L- Learn Spanish!

Our Thoughts:

We are only a couple of chapters into this curriculum. So far we have really enjoyed it. The girls had started taking Spanish in Florida, and so they are very happy to be back to learning it.

The activities are fun and engaging. Like the first one we did was signing Thumbkin, and putting in some of the Spanish words with our first vocab list. Very fun!

Another part I like as a teacher/parent is that they brake down the vocab into lists. We are working on simple Hello, Goodbye, How are you?, Thank you, and so forth right now.  One great thing, for people like me who have a hard time getting the plans made.. is that they have it all planned out for you.

For those of us with limited amounts of knowledge with Spanish, it also includes audio files in your download. So you can be sure you are pronouncing them correctly. What a huge relief for me.. since that is my biggest worry.

I would recommend this to anyone looking for a foreign language curriculum..

See what the rest of my TOS Crewmates are saying!

* I was given a free download of this curriculum in exchange for my honest review as part of the TOS Crew. All opinions are 100% mine or my monkeys!
