Little Monkey’s Room…

So with spring in the air… I’m on a big organizational kick. After our renovation last year, we have been trying to get everything where it needs to be. We are still trying to get the room dry walled and painted. Only taking a year, to get this far. LOL!

There was no shortage of ideas when the kids new were were going to paint their rooms. Little Monkey decided she wanted a Lala Loopsy room. I’m no artist that I assure you! I am a stick figure, paint by number kind of mom. Ha-ha! After some deliberation we decided to make a scene on her walls, with sky, hills, tree’s, and flowers. Then we bought the Lala Loopsy people wall stickers, so we don’t have to paint them. We are not completely done yet, but we are getting there.. Here are some pictures of what we have started.

After Little Monkey’s room is done, we will start on Middle Monkey’s room. She wants a Tinkerbell room, with spring, summer, fall, and winter. She wants a winter side with Periwinkle, which is Tinkerbell’s sister from the new movie. That should be really interesting….

Monkey man is another whole story. He wants a Greek Mythology room, with columns, Greek gods, and the whole works! Have not figured out how I am going to pull that one off. It should be really interesting to say the least. I will however, be sure to keep you posted.

Then when all that is done, I have a living room, and my bedroom to figure out. Plus we are finishing off our attic, to put our school room in. I’m going to be all decorated out by fall. Ha-ha!!

What fun spring projects are you up to?

Baseball Season is here!!

So Monkey Man is playing baseball again this year! This is his 4th year! Wow, doesn’t seem possible.

Many differences this year though, we are back in Maine, so he is in a small town rec team. Where as the last two years where in a big city league.

He is doing great so far this season. We are only one game in, and they didn’t win.. but they gave it a good shot!

Here are a few shots of my little man!

Maine Maple Sunday

is here again. We love to go out and visit the various Sap Houses on this day. The kids love to get the treats, and well; ok so do I!!!

We started our morning off going to a local pancake breakfast in support of the Snowmobile Club. It was a fantastic breakfast, and we were good and full to start our day.

This year we stopped at 3 different Sap Houses. We sampled ice cream with maple syrup on it. (that was the kids favorite of the day) Some maple cookies, maple cream, and some maple candy. We are on a sugar high now!

Here are some picture’s from our day!

Getting ready for spring:

Well being in Florida there is no lack of heat in the spring/summer. So, we decided it was time to shave off Hunter’s hair again! (ok, and because he is having his school  pictures done next week) His hair is the thickest, most unmanageable hair I have ever dealt with. (including my own!!!) He has this nasty cow lick, we can’t seem to get rid of, and you can style it. Here is a before shot:

Shaggy head

Look at that fuzz they call hair! We decided to go a bit shorter this time around, cause his hair grows so fast, and it is progressively getting hotter outside. Here is the after shot:

Much better

So much better don’t you think??? He likes it cause he says its easier to wash now, and dry! :) Silly boy! He agrees it is much cooler now.

Mud, Water and Rocks

Two things that children love to get into when you ask them not too! So the weather has been incredible the last few days!! In the mid 60's! Therefore, the kids and I have been outside enjoying the beautiful weather! We have been riding bikes... and kicking some balls around. Well both times I have asked the kids to not go in the mud puddles, and the muck! Of course you know that is the first place they went... Sage took a head dive in the mud, covered the pants, coat and went in her mouth. Boy was she mad! I thought it was rather cute... lol... Then Rachel decided to go running around with her frog boots on, while waiting for the bus. Wouldn't you know she would fall down on her knee's in the mud with her BRAND NEW WHITE TIGHTS! She stands up and says to me "its ok, YOU can wash them" Then their is Hunter he feels the need to go right through the mud and water with every and I mean every pair of sneakers he owns!!! AHHHH!! So, my detail today has been doing laundry to clean all these mud covered clothes, coats, shoes, and boots. Despite this all, I must say how excited I am that Spring is here! I love the weather and the smells, and flower..... I love it! May you all have a great spring! More photo's to follow. (Notice I picked a spring color!)

The frist day of spring!

Today was the frist day of SPRING!!! I would say YIPPEE, but I think that any of you in maine would agree with me... how was this the frist day of spring??? Did you see the sun? As I did not. :) I was hoping for a really nice sunny spring like day. Instead I got a snowy, windy, cold day...... That started off with my car getting stuck in the driveway! UGH! I tried to not let that get me down though. I hope that things get better. My family is desperate to see some sun, and be able to spend time outside without getting wet!!! Happy Spring Everyone!
