We got chickens a couple years ago…..
Well, today we lost Monkey Man’s favorite chicken. Yes, he got attached to a cute little chicken. Being the main caretaker of the chickens, he really loved this chicken. He would bring her special treats, such as grasshoppers, and bugs.
In the summer we we made sure to get some good pictures.
Winter has come in full blast. Yesterday, he went out to take care of the chickens and found “Red Neck” (that is his nickname for her) bleeding and not moving much. He was very upset. We tried to call a few vets, and got no where. Monkey Man was very upset that the vets were not accommodating. After I calmed him down, and we talked.. He tried to find answers in all of our chicken books. Unfortunately he didn’t find anything.
This morning when he went out, he found his lovely “Red Neck” passed on..
He was very sad.. so he is going to have a small memorial for her.
RIP Red Neck…. You will be missed!
