PAAS Easter Egg Dye Kits Review:

What is your favorite part of the Holiday’s?

Mine is to make cool crafts, decorations, and spend lots of fun time with my family. So when we were offered a chance to review PAAS Easter Egg Dyeing Kits, I was all over it.

This year PAAS and Heniz is raising money for Make-A-Wish Foundation. Every time someone decorates and shares an Easter egg with family and friends using the free app, you can find here. They will donate a $1, up to $25,000 to Make-A-Wish now through March 31st.

Here is the egg I made for Make-A-Wish!

PAAS has seven new egg decorating kits.

  • Volcano Eggsplosion
  • Marble
  • Touch of Velvet
  • Oh So Chic
  • Egg Stampers
  • Grip’ n Dip
  • and more!

We love decorating eggs! This year we are going to try to cook our eggs before hand in the oven. We have heard it’s the easiest way to do it. Have you tried that yet?!

PAAS says to get the brightest, most vivid colors, add one tablet and three tablespoons of Heinz distilled white vinegar. Once the tablet has dissolved, add 1/2 cup water and stir gently. Also, a little trick to keep your eggs from cracking, add two tablespoons of Heniz distilled white vinegar per quart of water before placing eggs in pot.

Did you know that every year Americans dye more than 180 million eggs during Easter season?! I did not! That is a lot of eggs!!

A couple weeks before Easter, we decided to get out the eggs and have some fun! We have no lack of eggs in this house, since we have chickens. So making a few dozen was no biggie! Being big crafty people, we love to have fun with our creations. My hubby loves to get really artistic too!  I love to make such fun memories with my kids. I couldn’t wait to have fun with them!

Here are some photo’s of some of our creations!

We had a really fun time! The kids got right into it. You can purchase PAAS egg decorating kits at most major grocery stores, drug stores, and mass market stores. They range in price from $1.99 to $4.25.

* We were given free product samples for review from Heniz and PAAS. All opinions are 100% mine or my monkeys.

Easter part 2:

Today was our final Easter celebration. The kids slept until 8ish… meanwhile I was up at 6:30 putting clues in eggs, and hiding them. Then I made pancakes for breakfast. Oh, how they love pancakes!

Once we ate our pancakes, we headed outside for the fun to begin. They love to look for eggs, with clues to lead to the next one.

Since Daddy’s idea of the Paper Mache’ Egg didn’t work out quite like we hoped. He didn’t have enough time to put enough layers on it, to make it strong enough. We were going to put their Easter gifts inside it. Great idea, just ran out of time. So, anyway so the efforts weren’t wasted we just put it at the end of their hunt for them to find, and they had a huge paper mache’ egg. They thought it was cool!

After their hunt, they came in to get their baskets. They pawed through it, and oh’d and aw’d over everything! Once they had time to check everything out, they put their Lego Mini Figures together, and then we gave them Buzz Lightyear Operation (my $2 deal last week) and we all played it. Come to find out Grandma was the best Doctor in the house! Haha!

After that we all went outside to play with their new jump ropes and we all had a good laugh as they tried very hard to get the concept. Had to love Littlest Monkey she just couldn’t get that you jump after you swing the rope. Then we played some pass with their new whiffle balls. It was a wonderful morning spent outside in the beautiful weather!

I’m glad that Littlest Monkey was feeling better so she could come out and participate with us in the Egg Hunt. She isn’t all better, but she is up and running around, so I think it is safe to say she is on the mend. We spent some wonderful family time together; tomorrow its back to the grind of life!

Hope everyone had an amazing Easter!!!

Easter Part 1

It is very rare for us to celebrate a holiday in just one day! Why?? Well simply because we love to do things with other people.

So for Easter we are having two celebrations yet again. Friday we got together with our very good friends, and did an Easter Egg Hunt with them. We really couldn’t have asked for a better day… the only sad part was Littlest Monkey was still sick and running a fever, so she was not able to join us.

We ended the Egg Hunt with a yummy Lemon Poppy Seed Cupcake. Then let the kids play for a few minutes with there new findings before heading back home to get Littlest Monkey from her grandma.

Happy Easter!!!

From our family to yours!!!

045

Hope everyone had a great Easter! I know our weekend was full of fun. Still not the same as being back with our family up north. However, we are finding our way with new friends and family.

We started our weekend out with watching movies on Friday night. Since a few of us (mainly me) were still sick, and just not feeling up to par. Then on Saturday we headed to a local church here in our town, that puts on great events for the kids throughout the year.

The kids were able to participate in an Egg Hunt, play in some bounce houses, play games, eat popcorn, and snow cones! Great fun!

Then on Sunday they woke up to their Easter baskets! Excited where they excited! After some breakfast and cleaning up, we went to join some friends for our annual Egg Hunt.

We had a great time! Ending the perfect weekend with a great meal, and some quiet relaxing time!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

Easter 09

Holiday’s are not the same since we left Maine. Not to say they aren’t fun, but they are not the norm we are used to. We miss the Family back north we always spend our Holiday’s with.

Easter was fun none the less. The Easter Bunny left the kids their stuff on the kitchen table, so the cats wouldn’t attack it.

Presents from the Easter Bunny

We had a nice breakfast with eggs, bacon, and toast. After we cleaned up the kids were eager to venture out to do our egg hunt.

Where could they be

Searching for the eggs… aren’t they cute?

Found all their eggs

Here they are with all their eggs they found. They had a certain color to find. They were so excited!

We spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out as a family playing games together. Had a nice dinner…and called it a day!

Hope everyone had a great Easter as well!
