The dumb things people do!!!
Ok, so you know I must say people can be dumb and cruel sometimes. So, while I was away at my family reunion, my father called me to tell me, he had some cats at his house... Cats??? What the heck? Apprenatly, someone decided that they were going to drop off a box of cats between our houses. (we live next to each other, connecting driveways) He orginally only saw 6... well that was bad enough right?? Him and my step mother Jayne, decided to stick them under my house, for me to deal with.. YIPPEE! So, when I got home I went to investagate, but didn't see any, so I figured they ran off. Monday still no sign of them. Tuesday I went out and out pops one from the wood pile... then another, and another, and so on and on... Til, I start counting and there is 9... yes I said 9!!! Oh my! Nine cats... 4 baby kittens, 3 middle sized ones, and a couple adults... or so I thought... I started rounding them up, and putting them in a carrier for the animal control officer... Between Amanda and I we caught 6 of them... Phew! Then Amanda and I look... there is a 10th one! Oh my goodness... it was the mother of the 4 kittens. So, I figured I would give the others some time, and they would come out on their own, once they didn't see me. Left for a couple hours to run some errands, and when I got back, Andy was able to catch one of the baby kittens. We decided after a long talk, that we would keep it, cause our cat ran away, and the kids have missed Oliver greatly.... Then we set out a trap for one of the adults... we ended up catching the mother, so the other baby stayed close... After that one was picked up and taken, we felt bad for the baby, no mother, no food... So we got some moist food and went out to try and get it to come to us... sure enough straving it came out and we were able to catch it. The kids thought we needed that one too... Being that they were the same sex, and siblings, and liking to play together, we decided to keep it... Suckers we are... I know! One more to get, so we set the trap out again, and this time we got the white adult one. So, 8 of them went to the shelter, and since they are such friendly cats they are going on the floor for adoption, which makes me feel better. :) The people who left them in the box, left their address though, so I hope they get in trouble. That is so cruel! They also left a 20pd bag of food for them, so I am sure they meant no harm to them, just couldn't keep them all, but really! Find another way! That was my adventure for this week. We now have two very cute grey kittens.... I will put some pictures of them up soon. Thanks for listening to me rant! I will let you know their names when we decide!

Straight hair???
I've been fooling around with my hair lately.... I like the curls, but sometimes something different is nice. Well, my friend amanda straightened it the other day, and I was wandering what you all think? It takes a lot of time to do that, so I don't do it often, but for a different look every now and again... It is nice to have it short again, cause i can wash it and go... Which can be nice when you have three kids screaming at ya! I do miss my long hair some days though. Feel free to drop me a line and tell me what you think! :)
Family Reunion
For the last two years we have had a family reunion for just the Merry's... Meaning my grandmother, her children, us grandkids, and our children. :) Well today we had our second one... Held at my Uncle Eugene's and Aunt Doris's... located on Toddy Pond in Orland... I believe (still figuring that one out.. lol..) Anywho... after a long ride there, cause my daughter decided to throw a tanturm... and giving me a headache. It was nice to see everyone. All the family was there, except, my cousin tracy and her husband, my cousin Michelle, and my cousin Jessica. Not a bad turn out, or atleast i didn't think so. It was good to see Aunt Doris, (or as I call her Auntie Em) and my cousins that i only see once a year if I am lucky. Also nice to have conversations with someone other than a 3,4, or 6 yr old, once and awhile! lol... It was a beautiful day, as we got lucky no rain. My kids enjoyed playing in the water, always a highlight to them. Plus being able to play with their cousins they don't often see. If I can get my hands on a few photo's, I will post them later. I didn't have any batteries for my camera! UGH! Can't wait to see them all again next year!

Red Sox Game
The first baseball game I have been to in a long time... One of my best friends Chad, asked me if I wanted to go to a Red Sox's Game with him.. Well, ok first off who is going to deny a night without children and a night in the city??? I love the city... Yup, I think deep down I was meant to be in the city! :) We left around 1pm, so we had 6 hrs to get there... Boy was it a good thing we left that early... We got stuck for at least 45 mins at one of the tolls, right before Mass. Then we got lost trying to find the street we wanted for the parking garage we were looking for. Eventually found it... Then we thought we had plenty of time, but the "T" ended up taking forever to get there. By the time we got to our destination and walking to the stadium... the game was already started. No biggie really... We had awesome seats right behind the outfield... and got a great view of the game. Chad and I had an awesome time, even got him to sing some of the songs with me! :) The Red Sox's Won, but I can't remember the exact score... (one of the down falls to taking so long to blog!) On our way home, we waited in line at he "T" for another hour to get on........... got to our destination, and headed to the parking garage... only to find that when we got out of there, we went in the wrong direction, and headed toward cambridge! Opps.... So, we ended up having to stop at the train station to look at a map, to figure out how to get back to the interstate... An hour or so later... I found it to be funny, as I like a challenge every once and awhile... So, we finally got headed in the right direction... got home about 4am... But it was one of the best times of my life! I had a great time, and I really am thinking we should make it a yearly event! Sorry, I have no pictures, as I didn't feel like carrying my camera around...

Happy 4th of July!!
Happy 4th everyone! I hope that you all enjoyed your day. Due to the high cost of gas... we decided to not go to any parade's or fireworks. Instead we decided to go about 2 miles from home to my grandmother's house. She live right on the lake.... oh it is so nice! So, we asked her if it was ok to use the water, and invited up a few friends to join us. We started the morning out, with going up to watch the boat parade.... (in all the years we have lived here, we have never actually watched it) There was probably about 15 boats in it. With all the rain we have had, the lake was actually very high for the first time in years. I was shocked! It was really nice though... For the lake water it was so nice, and not as cold as usually either. After we watched the boat parade, we made a quick trip to the market, and got a few needed items. Then we headed back to the lake. Adawna, Aaron, Essey & Hailey joined us... and also Amanda, Eric, Autumn and Isaac..... We all had a really good time in the lake. The water was beautiful, so we had a good time swimming. The kids loved the floats. (thanks to the dollar tree) We had a really nice BBQ...... and then it was time to hit the water again. The water was really just so nice, we lived in it for most of the day. :) Hunter got some new goggles to swim under water with, and he just looked so cute in them.
Unfortunetly, my camera is acting up
so I don't have the pictures of Essey & Hailey that I took. My camera decides when it wants to delete stuff on me now! UGH!
I'm very sad as I got a lot of really cute ones of them, and some of my own kids that I really liked. But I hope you enjoy the ones I have atleast.
Here you will see Rachel, showing off her pretty smile again. She was cold, and had to put on her sweatshirt!
And here is Autumn waiting to try and catch a fish. By the end of the day all the kids got to catch a fish. Rachel was so excited she almost dropped the pole in the water. Hunter just wanted to see what the fish looked like. Isaac and Autumn are old pro's at this, but had a huge smile on their face when they caught one. Sage didn't get to catch a fish, cause she was so tired from the days adventures she fell asleep in my chair, watching the other kids play. Isn't she just so cute! It was funny to watch her fall asleep.
Here is Isaac trying to show me how to catch a fishy! Lets see what did I miss from our day..... Oh, Eric holding one of the fish the kids caught. Eric also took me out in the Kayak, thank goodness no one got pictures of that... cause I couldn't even seem to steer the thing in the right direction, I had us going in circles. A few people on the lake were laughing at me... Atleast I know I bring joy to others right??? :) The next picture I'm going to put up is of Andy, he was trying to get a fire going... The kids were dying to cook smore's. They just really needed that sugar you know.
Of course it was not a complete day without Lily, she spent the day at the lake with us too.. She tried out the water a few times, found it was not to her liking.. I guess... and we couldn't get her to go back in again. Even tried to throw her a stick to fetch! Silly dog! She was a very good girl though, and didn't bark hardly at all, and enjoyed hanging out at the lake with the family.
Doesn't she look like she was relaxing by the water! LOL... I think the only other person I am missing from this blog, is Amanda... Don't worry I didn't forget you... We had a good time, and lots of laughs. Hope that we can do it again soon. Well that brings us to the end of my blog. After a really nice relaxing day at the lake, we had smore's, and did sparklers. The kids had a great time, and so did the adults! I hope that you all had a good 4th as well!
