Middle Monkey’s New Haircut

 

 

 

 

I have this thing about my kids getting their haircut. Well, I don’t mind Monkey Man getting his haircut, mostly cause he is one hairy dude! Lol… Speaking of which, he needs to get his shaved within the week.

Anyway, back to my point. The girls, have such pretty hair, and like any mom… I like to put it up in pretty braids, or pony tails. Well, Middle Monkey has never been a huge fan of her hair getting in her face, so she wanted it cut again. Today she decided to take a pretty big chunk off. Here she is half cut…

I have to say she looks pretty darn cute!!!

 

Now Little Monkey wants hers cut that short. I talked her out of it, cause she loves hers in braids. Phew! (escaped that one for now)

Fresh new do, for the summer….

 

 

After a few months of debating.. we decided it was time to cut Rachel’s hair. She has very thick hair like mine, and lately. No matter what shampoo I was using for her, cheap, expensive or in between, it was just blah. The back was all tangley all the time, and it was all split ends.

I love her long hair, so honestly it was probably more of an issue for me to cut it than her. She was very excited for her new look.  I was apprehensive but decided to be excited for her too.

Here it is the start.. no looking back now!!

She loves it.. and so do I! Much easier for her to take care of, and cooler for her this summer.

Getting ready for spring:

 

Well being in Florida there is no lack of heat in the spring/summer. So, we decided it was time to shave off Hunter’s hair again! (ok, and because he is having his school  pictures done next week) His hair is the thickest, most unmanageable hair I have ever dealt with. (including my own!!!) He has this nasty cow lick, we can’t seem to get rid of, and you can style it. Here is a before shot:

Look at that fuzz they call hair! We decided to go a bit shorter this time around, cause his hair grows so fast, and it is progressively getting hotter outside. Here is the after shot:

So much better don’t you think??? He likes it cause he says its easier to wash now, and dry! :) Silly boy! He agrees it is much cooler now.

Straight hair???

I've been fooling around with my hair lately.... I like the curls, but sometimes something different is nice. Well, my friend amanda straightened it the other day, and I was wandering what you all think? It takes a lot of time to do that, so I don't do it often, but for a different look every now and again... It is nice to have it short again, cause i can wash it and go... Which can be nice when you have three kids screaming at ya! I do miss my long hair some days though. Feel free to drop me a line and tell me what you think! :)

And with summer comes a new haircut!

Nothing like a new haircut when summer comes rolling in right?? Rachel got brave, and decided she was ready for a change. Her hair had alot of dead ends and so we decided to give it a trim. It's now up to her shoulders. She loved her long hair...as we were finally able to braid, french braid, and put in pretty pony's. But in the words of Rachel "it will grow again mommy"..... She likes her new haircut, and loves how easy it was to maintain. Every morning she says look mommy my hair doesn't have any tangles. We used to have to struggle with tangles every morning, now it is so easy to brush and go. She loves it! I hope you all like it to, as I think it is very cute. I do miss the longer hair, but like she said it will grow back out. :)
