Stolen moments....

My son is almost 7, yes I said 7! Can you believe that?? Cause I certainly can't. Now because he is in school/bus 8 hrs of the day... and he has to go to bed fairly earlier, cause he is exhausted after a long day at school. (vicious cycle) We don't get a lot of time together to hang out and chat/connect.
Well over the last few nights. He has been asking me to lay with him for 5 mins when he goes to bed. I can't help but say yes... It gives us our cuddle time, and we get to have a quick chat about the day. I mean really... how many more nights of this will I have. Boys don't need their moms after so long. (sadly)
After all he still lets me hug him, and kiss him! (even in public) I'm going to miss my little man.. He is growing up far to fast for my liking... so for now, I am so happy to have those stolen moments!

Shy no more....

Rachel in her own way has always been very shy about some things, and people. This past Friday we went to Michael's to see what they had on sale, or anything we could pick up cheap for craft projects. Afterwards the girls were hungry, so we decided to take them out to lunch. So, we headed to the new Cafe next to Michael's to try it out. The girls were really excited about this. It was a rather good place to eat, much healthier than McDonald's or Burger King. The girls picked a table outside on the sidewalk, and we sat and ate. While we were waiting for Sage to finish up her sandwich. (she is a bit slow eating sometimes) Rachel decided she was going to go entertain the Cafe by dancing in front of the doors/windows. Mostly because she could see her reflection in the glass, and she loves to watch herself dance. Everyone loved watching her dance, and complimented her on it. I wish I had a video camera to show you, she was rather cute in her performance. It did one big thing though, which was set my mind at ease, that she will not be to scared to dance in front of an audience if she joins dance! I hope to catch her one day soon, to show you all her lovely self taught dance moves. :)

Comfort Items

Most of my blogs are about Hunter, or Rachel.... Well, I was taking this picture for my scrapbook, and decided I needed to sneak one in their for sage..... since being the youngest is often overlooked! (I assure you, not on purpose) I actually should have taken this picture a long time ago, and buried somewhere might be a picture of her with this particular item. Isn't it amazing how some kids attach to things, and not to others! Like for example Hunter's favorite item, as most of you probably know was his Graffie~ and yes we still have 2 of them... although, he is not as attached to them anymore. Rachel on the other hand, was never really attached to anything to bad... I guess her most liked item is her curly bear (which her auntie jenn got her) and she still carries him around... Curly really needs a bath right now though~

Sage well sage was a little tougher to find something she really cared about.. but on her first birthday she recieved this special present from her Uncle Jason & Aunt Amy........ it was a my first Big Bird... it had a teething thing attached to it. Well, this was never allowed to leave her side after the first week of having it. She was always so cute carrying it around. Finally after last year when it still had to go to bed with her everynight... we cut off the teething part, cause she was past this stage... as all her teeth were in... :) She still has to have it everynight, or naptime... So, the other day while shopping I found this Big Bird scrapbook paper. I got it, and decided I need a picture to document this special item.... so today I figured was a good a day as any to take the picture of her with Big Bird. I am in hopes of finding some more pictures of her with Big Bird... their must be some here somewhere! Enjoy the picture, as I find it adorable!

Lost Tooth!

Hunter lost his first tooth tonight!!! He is growing up way to fast for me.... :( He was playing with it all afternoon, and I finally looked at it, and decided he needed to take it out before it came out in an apple, or something. It was only holding on by a tiny bit. So, I decided to tell him a story about one of my teeth when I was little. How my dad, hooked a string to my tooth and my wrist and I refused to let my wrist fall... but by the time I was done watching a movie it had fallen, and I didn't even know it... My tooth was out! So, he wanted to go try that. Him and daddy were setting up the string when daddy decided to just twist it, and see if it would come out, and sure enough! Out it popped. Dinner was an interesting time, he wasn't sure he should eat or not. Decided on just having salad. I think he is trying to get used to the gap in his teeth, but is enjoying it none the same. He is eagerly awaiting the tooth fairy now!! We'll let you know what she leaves. :)

Hunter's 6th Birthday!

Tomorrow is Hunter's 6th Birthday! Wow I can't believe the time has passed so fast! He is so grown up.. All 43 pounds of him, and his little bluish green eyes. He is starting to get freakles on his cheeks and it is so cute! :-) A couple months ago, he got a loose tooth.... I can't even begin to tell you how excited he was to have a loose tooth like all the other kids in his class. (just to give you alittle background... Hunter didn't get his frist tooth until he was 14 months old) His likes are so varied.. He likes dinosaurs, star wars, animals in general, cars, and pirates of the Carribean. Hunter is into sports, he really loves soccer, and baseball. We are upon baseball season, and I will be posting some pictures soon. Our frist game is May 13th...
Time is going by so fast, sometimes it even amazes me! I'm very proud though, he is a polite, caring, sweet boy! He makes his momma proud. He is a very amazing little man!
