Adult Trip to Disney:

After a stressful few weeks, of kids being sick, and packing for our trip to Maine…. I really, really needed a girls day, night out! My wonderful friend Jessica, offered to spend the day with me, and bring along a few of her friends. Off we went!

Yup, we went to the Magic Kingdom and enjoyed the day with no kids whining, or begging to wait in long lines, just did what we wanted and acted silly. Does it get much better than that? Here are a few photo’s from our day!

After we left Disney and Jessica got drenched trying to put gas in the car. (came in and poured right at that moment) We went back to her house for a bit, chilled, talked, and she changed out of her drenched clothes. (yes, I’m guilty for laughing at her but only if you could have seen her lose her shoe in the pouring down rain) From there, we headed out to the Ale House, a local sports bar/restaurant to meet another friend of hers for dinner. We order a couple appetizers and shared them, and still couldn’t finish it all. What amazing food they have! YUM! We sat and talked an adult conversation, and had some laughs for a couple hours, and then we headed out. It was sad to say goodbye to all the fun, but we promised to try and get together once a month for more fun! It was a blast, and much needed! Thanks again Jess!!!

Fun with friends:

A friend of mine who I’ve known since Middle School lives down here. She actually lives only 20 minutes from me. For the purposes of my post, I’m going to call her “J”.

“J” works for Disney as a photographer, so she was kind enough to get me, Andy and the girls in to the Magic Kingdom. We had a wonderful day, and it was nice to catch up with “J”. I’m hoping we get to see each other a bit more often. I’m not going to give you a big long post, cause we have already blogged about the Magic Kingdom, so I’m just going to give you a couple highlights, and a few pictures!

The girls love for the day, were seeing the Fairies, and Princesses. We saw a few other characters that we have yet to have their picture taken with, or book signed. We rode some rides, which the girls liked and hated. They both loved the Barn Stormer, which was like a mini roller coaster. I thought Sage would be scared but she laughed.  Rachel’s favorite was the Aladdin’s carpet ride. They didn’t really care for the Snow White ride, cause they thought it was scary. It was dark…so we think that is why it scared them.

All and all we had a great time, and enjoyed our time with “J”. The girls hope to see her again soon.

Ducks

Am I driving you crazy yet?? Just asking....

Ducks, they are really everywhere I know. But I just wanted to share a couple of cute pictures of one, that was near us while we were enjoying
our Ice Cream..... They didn't bug you, but they were so cute you couldn't resist but to give them some food. Andy of course had to give them some of our waffle cone, as if it was ok to share it!

Rachel thought the duck was very cute... as it kept coming close to her. She wanted to try and feed it. Boy didn't she giggle! There was another girl nearby that was feeding it Dirotos, and boy didn't she think it was just hilarious!

Ice Cream, Ice Cream....

We all scream for Ice Cream! On our way out of Magic Kingdom, Rachel had asked for some Ice Cream. They had eaten their dinner, and we hadn't bought any other treats, so we agreed. Everyone was up for Ice Cream. So we stopped at an Ice Cream Parlor... It was very cute in there... The kids got Mickey Mouse Ice Cream's....which was vanilla ice cream on a cone with chocolate mickey ears. YUM! Andy and I split a Parlor Sundae, which was vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone, with hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, and a cherry! Double Yum!!! They were excellent, but more than anything I wanted to share the waffle process... They make them right there on the spot, and it smells so good! I just had to share!

Here he is pouring it in the mold!

Just a picture of the presses!

From here when he takes them out, he takes another device and presses them into a bowl shape. They are so delicious is all I have to say! YUMMM!!! Here is a picture of the finished product!

Dreams can come true!

For one of our last things to do in the Magic Kingdom, we stopped to see Mickey's show Dream's can come True! It is put on in front of Cinderella's Castle. Rachel was very excited to see this show, cause she was pretty sure the princesses were going to be there. Everyone was dressed in blue, which was pretty cool. Here are a few pictures from Mickey's Party.

Then along came the Princesses!

After the pretty Princesses, was Peter Pan & Wendy!

Then out came Captain Hook & Smead

It was a really great show, and the kids loved it. I have so many pictures I could share, but I don't want to overwhelm you! :)

Mickey's House

Now we are going to take you on a tour of Mickey's House! In his house you couldn't climb on his furniture and such. Plus his kitchen was closed for remodeling... Sounds dangerous! Anywho, here is the shots of Mickey's House.....

Here is Mickey's Bedroom... I think he has more clothes than me!

Here is Mickey's Kitchen being remodeled! :)

Pluto's Dog House!

Mickey's Garden, look at those Tomatoes!

This is Mickey's canoe, in his garage!

So there you have a tour of Mickey's house! I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! :)

Minnie's House

Have you ever wandered what Minnie or Mickey's House looks like??? Well, we went in them yesterday and wanted to share what we saw. Minnie's house was cool, and the kids really liked that they could climb on things, and really check it out.

Here are the kids sitting on Minnie's Couch!
Ever wander what was in Minnie's Frig?

Minnie's microwave even pops popcorn!!

And last but not least Minnie's Mailbox!

We hope you enjoyed the Tour of Minnie's House!

Magic Kingdom

When we arrived at the Magic Kingdom, the kids thought it was cool everything was decorated for Halloween. Everything was Pumpkins, or
dressed up. The middle Mickey (which I forgot to get a picture of) head in this garden was made completely out of different color gourds. It was really cute. It was nice to see all the yellow and orange, since we aren't in Maine with the pretty fall colors.

Notice the pumpkin men behind them. I thought those were really cute!

From there the kids were starving so we had to find something to eat. As we were hunting we realized it was almost tim
e for the Parade to start, so we found a place to watch it along the way. Then I went into one of the shops, and got the kids some French Fries and a bottle of water. The kids were so excited to see the parade coming.... Here are a couple photo's of some of the stuff we saw. The Seven Drawfs, Captain Hook, and who can have a parade without Cinderella and Prince Charming. The girls were very excited about seeing her.

After the parade we headed thru the Cinderella Castle. What could be more fun than getting to go thru the Castle??? Once we got to the other side we saw the Merry Go Round, and Dumbo the ride. (I once stood in line for an hour to go on the Dumbo ride, for a minute and a half) Of course this time we were not waiting in such long lines with the kids. Rachel can barely handle waiting 5 minutes! We continued on to see Ariel, but she had left for lunch. So, the kids didn't get upset about missing her, we moved on to Toontown. Which is where Mickey and Minnie's House was, and you could go in and check it out. I'm going to put those in a separate post as well.

We stopped in Toontown after letting the kids look at the houses, so they could play on a Disney Playground. What better than that right? This way they didn't get annoyed with being in the stroller, forever.

Sage was having way to much fun on this slide. She almost flew off! I thought this picture was just to cute!

From the playground we went into Tomorrowland, so Andy and I could get something to eat. As we were starving....cause we got the kids something to eat, and not ourselves. So we went to Cosmic Ray's, for something to eat. They have good grilled chicken sandwiches! After leaving there we went in front of the Castle again, and waited for the show. I will post about that on another blog too (to many photo's for one blog). So, all and all we had a great time at the Magic Kingdom. I didn't get to go on my favorite ride (Splash Mountain), cause we didn't have anyone to watch the kids. Rachel and Sage is still to small to ride it. But we had fun getting a taste of it, until we can go back and spend more time there.
