Red Sox Game

The first baseball game I have been to in a long time... One of my best friends Chad, asked me if I wanted to go to a Red Sox's Game with him.. Well, ok first off who is going to deny a night without children and a night in the city??? I love the city... Yup, I think deep down I was meant to be in the city! :) We left around 1pm, so we had 6 hrs to get there... Boy was it a good thing we left that early... We got stuck for at least 45 mins at one of the tolls, right before Mass. Then we got lost trying to find the street we wanted for the parking garage we were looking for. Eventually found it... Then we thought we had plenty of time, but the "T" ended up taking forever to get there. By the time we got to our destination and walking to the stadium... the game was already started. No biggie really... We had awesome seats right behind the outfield... and got a great view of the game. Chad and I had an awesome time, even got him to sing some of the songs with me! :) The Red Sox's Won, but I can't remember the exact score... (one of the down falls to taking so long to blog!) On our way home, we waited in line at he "T" for another hour to get on........... got to our destination, and headed to the parking garage... only to find that when we got out of there, we went in the wrong direction, and headed toward cambridge! Opps.... So, we ended up having to stop at the train station to look at a map, to figure out how to get back to the interstate... An hour or so later... I found it to be funny, as I like a challenge every once and awhile... So, we finally got headed in the right direction... got home about 4am... But it was one of the best times of my life! I had a great time, and I really am thinking we should make it a yearly event! Sorry, I have no pictures, as I didn't feel like carrying my camera around...

Happy 4th of July!!

Happy 4th everyone! I hope that you all enjoyed your day. Due to the high cost of gas... we decided to not go to any parade's or fireworks. Instead we decided to go about 2 miles from home to my grandmother's house. She live right on the lake.... oh it is so nice! So, we asked her if it was ok to use the water, and invited up a few friends to join us. We started the morning out, with going up to watch the boat parade.... (in all the years we have lived here, we have never actually watched it) There was probably about 15 boats in it. With all the rain we have had, the lake was actually very high for the first time in years. I was shocked! It was really nice though... For the lake water it was so nice, and not as cold as usually either. After we watched the boat parade, we made a quick trip to the market, and got a few needed items. Then we headed back to the lake. Adawna, Aaron, Essey & Hailey joined us... and also Amanda, Eric, Autumn and Isaac..... We all had a really good time in the lake. The water was beautiful, so we had a good time swimming. The kids loved the floats. (thanks to the dollar tree) We had a really nice BBQ...... and then it was time to hit the water again. The water was really just so nice, we lived in it for most of the day. :) Hunter got some new goggles to swim under water with, and he just looked so cute in them. Unfortunetly, my camera is acting up

so I don't have the pictures of Essey & Hailey that I took. My camera decides when it wants to delete stuff on me now! UGH!

I'm very sad as I got a lot of really cute ones of them, and some of my own kids that I really liked. But I hope you enjoy the ones I have atleast. Here you will see Rachel, showing off her pretty smile again. She was cold, and had to put on her sweatshirt! And here is Autumn waiting to try and catch a fish. By the end of the day all the kids got to catch a fish. Rachel was so excited she almost dropped the pole in the water. Hunter just wanted to see what the fish looked like. Isaac and Autumn are old pro's at this, but had a huge smile on their face when they caught one. Sage didn't get to catch a fish, cause she was so tired from the days adventures she fell asleep in my chair, watching the other kids play. Isn't she just so cute! It was funny to watch her fall asleep. Here is Isaac trying to show me how to catch a fishy! Lets see what did I miss from our day..... Oh, Eric holding one of the fish the kids caught. Eric also took me out in the Kayak, thank goodness no one got pictures of that... cause I couldn't even seem to steer the thing in the right direction, I had us going in circles. A few people on the lake were laughing at me... Atleast I know I bring joy to others right??? :) The next picture I'm going to put up is of Andy, he was trying to get a fire going... The kids were dying to cook smore's. They just really needed that sugar you know.

Of course it was not a complete day without Lily, she spent the day at the lake with us too.. She tried out the water a few times, found it was not to her liking.. I guess... and we couldn't get her to go back in again. Even tried to throw her a stick to fetch! Silly dog! She was a very good girl though, and didn't bark hardly at all, and enjoyed hanging out at the lake with the family.

Doesn't she look like she was relaxing by the water! LOL... I think the only other person I am missing from this blog, is Amanda... Don't worry I didn't forget you... We had a good time, and lots of laughs. Hope that we can do it again soon. Well that brings us to the end of my blog. After a really nice relaxing day at the lake, we had smore's, and did sparklers. The kids had a great time, and so did the adults! I hope that you all had a good 4th as well!

I know we did. Have a great summer everyone~~~

Its a bird, its a plane, no its a ?????

One clear evening, the kids were outside playing...Sage came running in as always to tell me that there was a plane in the sky. For some reason she likes to tell me when we have planes going over. Hunter and Rachel told us that it looked more like a hot air balloon, so we decided to go take a peak. Sure enough, it was this interesting vehicle... Not sure the name of it, so anyone who knows, feel free to tell us. It was kinda neat, it looked like a motorized bike with a parachute over it. Here are the few photo's we could get before it disappeared on us.

Our first Lapbooks.......

As most of you know we are homeschooling this year. Well, as part of our homeschooling, we are trying this new thing called Lapbooking. You take a file folder, fold it, and make activites and info to go on it. Kinda a review of what you have learned about. Since we have had a ton of Thunderstorms lately, Hunter did his first one on Weather.... He loved it. His exact words actually were... "Mom, I love homeschooling its so much fun!" I guess, I got a positive out of that. He was very excited to do this lapbook. We are doing some weeks here and there, so we have extra time to take off when we want. Plus, as most of you also know with Rachel we have to have a pretty constant schedule, to keep things peaceful. As soon as I have some photo's to post, I will have them up. :)
Hunter was not the only one hard at work with his..... The girls, who are also doing school work. Hunter being in 1st grade, Rachel in kindergarten, and Sage is doing Pre-k...... Seems they wanted to be involed with something too.... I decided to do a Lapbook on the letter "A" . Deciding that we are going to do one for each of the letters of the alphabet, and hoping that might make them stick with them alittle better. They have done a great job too.
This new site I have been really enjoying, refered to me by a friend... she has some really cool ideas, and also does this new tot book thing were she cuts a file folder in half to do one for the toddlers.... I might give it a shot with Rachel and Sage.. They are really cute, as she does like a nemo, cars, princess, and so on...but they are better in color, and I don't have a color ink in my printer. So, when my little budget can afford some. I might give one a shot. :) I think they would be fun! http://www.1plus1plus1equals1.blogspot.com/ Here is her blog site to check out if you want. :) We are taking this week off for the holiday, but will let you know what we finish next. Hunter wants to do one on Dinosaurs.... (my favorite part about these, are that they include all subjects) The girls will be doing the letter "B".....
