Our fun filled weekend

I have to say we got really lucky… and it all worked out nicely. My husband got 5 days off in a row, after only asking for 2 days… At first we were like that stinks cause of the money issue, but then everything worked out nicely.

First on Thursday we took littlest monkey to the Eye Doctors, and that was a very interesting. She has to have new glasses again, and hopefully that will help with the lazy eye.

Then on Friday the boys went on a sleep over for Cub Scouts, that they had a blast at! Playing games, watching a movie, and wearing themselves out! While they were at that, us girls hung out with friends watching a movie.

Saturday was just a lazy day around home, where we just sat around, played games, and watched movies.

Sunday we went to my Dad and Stepmom’s. Which for anyone who has followed my blog for any length of time, has probably seen that we don’t do or so them much. There this was a huge shock for us all. They invited us down to spend the day. (They live 60 miles from us) I picked up my grandmother and brought her down with us. They kids were super excited to see a tree still up when we got there, cause that meant presents. Lol!

We then spent the afternoon, catching up, and the kids opened up their presents. They got homemade coloring books, with pictures of my Stepmom’s animals. She has horses, donkey’s, and dogs. It was a really cool idea. As well as getting some new hats and mittens.

Then we had lunch, some really good lasagna! Yum! After lunch the kids drove grandma Jayne crazy til she got ready to take them outside. They went out and played in the snow, and she took them on a dog sled ride. I didn’t get a pick of them on the dog sled, but I did mange to get a few of the animals. The kids had a blast! It was such a great day! I will remember it for a long time!

Now to a full week ahead! After such a great weekend, I think it will be a great week. No worries! How was your weekend??

I am thinking...  What a great weekend we had… Busy but really fun! I’m so happy that everything worked out great!
I am thankful for…..having a great family!

From the learning rooms…..…  We started back with School this past week. We did really well, despite a crazy week.
Hunter- Is doing great with the start of Division
Rachel- is doing really good with double digit addition and subtraction. We just need to bump it up to double digit regrouping.
Sage- is doing awesome with her sight words, we are up to knowing 30 or so, and starting to read. She is also doing really good with the start of addition and subtraction.
I’m very proud of them all! We are taking today off to spend with friends, but back at it tomorrow!

From the kitchen…. .Nothing today, we are having dinner with friends.

I am creating….    New organization, cause we moved the school room, and rearranged. Must get everything back in order now!

I am wearing.. Jeans, t-shirt, and a sweatshirt!

I am going..  to be very busy again this week.  I think that maybe true for a few more weeks. Lots going on….

I am hearing…..the kids talking about the color names of their color pencils, while coloring in their new Homemade Coloring books they got from their Grandma yesterday.

I am reading… Some new Debbie MacComber books. Waiting for the next batch to get here from the library.

Around the house… laundry is about the only thing I need to catch up on, we did everything else at the beginning of the weekend.

One of my favorite things…  seeing my Monkey’s smile… and laugh.

A few plans for the rest of the week:  Dentist appt, Girl Scouts, Co-op, Girl Scouts again, planning a birthday party, school, and having fun with my monkey’s!

Another one gone….

Tooth that is… Middle Monkey lost another top tooth, and might I just say it is wicked cute! She has like no teeth in the front anymore. Trying to watch her eat certain foods is rather entertaining!  :-)

Thought you might all enjoy a photo of her….

Forgive me the quality isn’t the best, it was taken with my cell!

My little monkey is super jealous, and anxiously awaiting for her first tooth to fall out! She says “I’m 5 now, I should lose one too”. Gotta love the reasoning of a 5 yr old. Cracks me up!

FOR TODAY... Monday January 3rd, 2011

Outside my window...   Its pretty nice. We have had some really warm weather, after a blizzard… Strange I agree!

I am thinking... What is to come in this New Year… Can you believe it is 2011 already??  It seems like 2000 was just last year!
I am thankful for…..being here, and spending time with my family…. So many lives of great people lost over the last couple of years, and it just reminds us more everyday how lucky we are.

From the learning rooms….. … We took the last couple weeks off due to the Holiday’s, and being super busy!
Big Monkey-  is doing some division, and reading up a storm.
Middle Monkey-  is doing well with all subjects, and surprising even herself. She has two digit addition without carrying down now.
Small Monkey-  is doing well… She is getting her sight words down. Its so cool to watch them learn to read.

From the kitchen….  Not sure… Need to our monthly menu for this month.

I am creating….   Nothing right now…

I am wearing.. Jeans, t-shirt, and a sweatshirt!

I am going..  to be very busy over the next month or so… Its almost Girl Scout Cookie time… This year I have 2 troops to help with, so it is going to be nuts!!!

I am hearing….  My kids giggling, while they are playing with new toys from the holiday.

I am reading… Nothing at the moment, looking for some new books to read… Open to suggestions!!!

Around the house… It is pretty well clean, did it over the weekend, and even got my car cleaned out and vacuumed. YAY!

One of my favorite things…  Spending time with my family, and enjoying our time together.

A few plans for the rest of the week:  This is super crazy week… We have Cub Scouts, my brownie troop, Girls Daisy Troop, and 4-H. Plus we have a couple appointments, and some trips to the library.

Here is a picture for thought I am sharing…

A crazy photo of Middle Monkey!
