For Today May 10th, 2010

Outside my window- Hot, but nice… Another beautiful Sunny day…

I am thinking- What a wonderful weekend… its going to be a long week, but should be good. Things are starting to die down now…

I am thankful for- a fun weekend with a great friend, and time with my kids… and a wonderful family who, made it special.

From the kitchen-  Left over Turkey or Shepard’s pie… from the weekend… since its another busy night ahead.

I am wearing-  Shorts, t-shirt (cause I’m still healing from my last burn), and my croc’s of course! :)

I am reading-  Soon, “Life in Spite of me” for a review… and then I’m going to reread one of my Nicholas Sparks books.

I am hoping- That I can get everything done in the next two weeks that I need too.

I am creating- Our bridging ceremony for Girl Scouts.

I am hearing- Sage singing to herself… she cracks me up, but is so cute!

One of my favorite things-  Time for myself… cause it reminds me of how much my family means to me, and what great times and memories we have.

A few plans for the rest of the week….  Dance, Baseball, T-ball, Cub Scouts, Library, Our last T-ball & Baseball games, errands, Baseball awards, and I then I have CPR & First Aid Training all day Saturday.

A Picture I'm sharing-  A picture from camping this weekend.

Take it easy, sit back and relax, and take in the joy of just being a mom. I know that I am....

My babies made me cards, and cookies. Bless their cute little hearts! My hubby got me flowers... and is cooking me a Turkey dinner. I'm blessed and love my family very much.

Mother’s Day Weekend

Last month, before I looked at the calendar really hard… I signed up for some training classes I needed for Girl Scouts. Perhaps I should have looked a bit harder at the calendar, cause I ended up scheduling it for the weekend of Mother’s Day. Opps!

My kids are a bit mad with me, and I understand. However, we don’t do much traditionally for Mother’s Day. I won’t be gone the whole day though… just part of it.

As I will be leaving Saturday to head out for Camp Training. That means, I have to go camping to get trained. Should be loads of fun, as my Co-leader (and best friend) are going with me. A day in the outdoors and wilderness in Florida, hmmmm…. I’m used to the creepy crawlies in Maine. Lets hope we don’t encounter any nasty ones from here. BLAH!  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not your average spleeny girl. I like camping, yet FL has so many different creepy crawlies to see!

I’m excited to go, and we need to get it done. So it will be a good weekend, and not to hot yet. My kids will still get me for a half a day!

What are your plans for Mother’s Day??

For any Mom’s in the Tampa Area:

There is a Tampa Smartmoms Solutions Roadshow coming up on May 13th from 10am-12noon. At the Ramada Tampa Westshore Inn & Conference Center, on 1200 North Westshore Blvd, Tampa.

This is going to be a free two-hour event showcasing products and brands designed with mom’s in mind. Anything from green cleaning solutions to wellness solutions for your family. There will be opportunities to take part in some interactive demonstrations as well as to touch and feel the products. Which wouldn’t be complete without a chance to win some prizes.

As well as hearing from some products across the country, they are looking to hear from us local moms as well. Then of course some time for our favorite thing networking and socializing!

I will be there, and hope to see some of you there too!

If you are interested in attending, you can RSVP to Melaine Yerman at myerman@bsmmedia.com. Act fast as it is just around the corner!

Hope to see you there!!!

For Today May 3rd, 2010

Outside my window- It is beautiful, but hot & humid. That weather is starting to set in again.

I am thinking- Wow, another crazy week… Can you believe the kids only have 4 more weeks of school? Time has flown this year!

I am thankful for- time spent with my beautiful girls. We had a great weekend, while the boys were camping!

From the kitchen-  I may cook a chicken in the crockpot for everyone. (this is not my night to cook) Or Hubby will have to come up with something!

I am wearing- My new jean shorts, my team shirt (got a game tonight) and my croc’s.

I am reading-  nothing right now… Need to start in on “Indivisible by Heitzmann” Look for the review soon!

I am hoping- I can keep my sanity this month. The calendar looks like someone just took a pen and started scribbling!!! LOL! Crazy month!

I am creating- A calendar for the summer, think we have the plans laid out, now just to get a calendar of events ready…  (still working on the last details of this)

I am hearing- Nothing, Sage is being pretty quiet this morning, and the other two are already at school.

One of my favorite things-  Flowers… I love the look and smell of flowers! My favorites are Roses, and Lily’s.

A few plans for the rest of the week….  Dance, T-ball, Baseball, Cub Scouts, Library, Baseball Practice, errands, Baseball again, and I am going camping for Training this weekend.

A Picture I'm sharing-  Our garden we planted this weekend. Can’t wait for it to grow!

May = Crazy??

May is a wonderful month, as spring has sprung, and of course the best thing of all, my birthday is in this month! However, it never fails as to how crazy May becomes.

It is the month of a bazillion birthday’s for our family and friends. No joke, probably close to 20! The postal system must love me for this month!!!

In that list is my husband first, and then mine at the end of the month… With lots of close family and friends in between. That starts the Craziness off.

This year… you add in camping trips, training for Girl Scouts & Cub Scouts, trips for both Scouts, regular meetings, Dance, Baseball finishing up, and cross over and bridging ceremonies… and you have filled up my whole month of May!

I’m thinking that June will need to be the month of rest, to catch up, but I think it may be just as crazy this year.

Do you ever have one month, that just seems to be jammed packed with everything you can possibly do in it??

When the boys are away, the girls will play…..

Yup, that is right… The boys are at a camping trip this weekend with Cub Scouts. That leaves us girls alone….

What are our big plans for the weekend without them? Not much really… Last night we dropped them off, and came home to have a late night movie on my bed. (Barbie of course) We were pretty low key, since the girls were exhausted from our long day.

Today we are being low key too. The girls are not feeling the best. We are doing our best to enjoy our time together, though. Since girl time is rare for us. Suppose to get really hot today… so we aren’t sure what we want to do. I think we are going to put in our vegetable garden today, and maybe this afternoon when it gets hot, and humid, we will play a game, or watch a movie. Of course we must get some giggling in there, and dancing like wild crazy monkey’s! Right??

It doesn’t happen often, but we love it when it does.. spending time just us girls is so much fun!

Have a great first day of MAY!!!!
